Metals for 3D Printing

Select the material that best meets the requirements of your component. Rapidobject processes various metals and metal alloys using the SLM process, including aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, copper, bronze, Inconel, and tool steel. We can assist you in making your selection based on strength, weight, temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, and post-processing.

For functional prototypes, individual parts, and small- to medium-volume production runs.

3D Metal Printing—Precise, Durable, Ready for Mass Production

Metal 3D printing enables the production of highly precise, durable components for prototypes, functional models, and production runs. Processes such as SLM allow for the creation of complex geometries that are virtually impossible to produce using conventional methods. Additional post-processing ensures defined surfaces and functional interfaces.

Finishing tailored to the material and function

The 3D-printed metal component serves as the starting point for further processing. Depending on the material and application , heat treatment, blasting, grinding, polishing, or machining may be required.

Fits, threads, sealing surfaces, and other precision functional areas are often machined with specific requirements in mind. The desired post-processing should therefore be taken into account as early as the material selection, design, and quotation stages.
