ESD Components
Protection for Sensitive Electronics
ESD components are specially designed parts that dissipate or prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD). These components are made of conductive or dissipative materials that dissipate electrical charges in a controlled manner to prevent damage to sensitive electronic components.
Why are ESD components important?
In many industries—particularly electronics manufacturing, the semiconductor industry, and medical technology—uncontrolled electrostatic discharge can damage components or impair their function. ESD components protect these sensitive parts and contribute to their longevity and operational reliability.
Typical Applications of ESD Components
- Housings for Electronic Devices
- Storage and Transport Containers
- Installation Aids & Tools
- PCB Holders & Fixtures
- Protective Covers & Connectors
- Exhaust Systems & Nozzles

Difference Between CNC Milling and 3D Printing
3D Printing
In 3D printing, the material is applied layer by layer. This makes it possible to:
- Complex geometries: such as internal channels, organic shapes, or undercuts that could not be produced using milling.
- Weight-optimized components: Through the strategic use of material, such as cavities or lattice structures.
- Prototypes & Production Runs: Particularly cost-effective for custom-made items or specific requirements.
- Rapid Manufacturing: 3D printing enables the rapid production of highly complex components without the need for additional tools or molds
CNC Milling
In CNC milling, material is removed from a solid block using milling tools. This makes it possible to:
- High precision and surface finish: Perfect for components with smooth surfaces and tight tolerances.
- Medium to large quantities: Cost-effective for the production of series or prototypes with lower complexity
- CNC milling offers a wider range of materials
